Posts: 2097 Jan 20 07 9:24 AM Just TYE	Ted....most .410 /36 guage shotguns will chamber and fire the .45 Colts catridges......but I would reccomend asking the maker of the firearm if it is safe, if you can......sometimes the newer guns are marked with the .45/410 stampings.......even though they are safe....I would suggest not doing a lot as the revolver catrdige being shorter, may cause fouling in the chamber preventin insertion and ejection of .410 ammo, Welcome to the site....we are all old timers from other places....but that doesn't mean others are not welcome, Tye,

Posts: 6 Jan 20 07 7:25 PM	thanks guys for the info . one of the reasons i wanted to do it was .to have better energy than the 410 slugs but i just looked it up and there listed at about 650 lb energy witch is better than the 45 long colt anyway . i thaought that 410 slug were down around 350 lb or somthing like that . while 650 lb is,nt great i thank i could kill a deer with it if i had to . especely down where i live all we have are small black tail deer most of the run around 100 lb
